Privacy Policy

ScottTillema.com  |  Effective September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Negotiation Excellence, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit ScottTillema.com (the "Site"), contact us, download resources, or otherwise interact with us through the Site.

1  Information We Collect

Information you provide. We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, organization, event information, message content, and any other information you choose to provide when you contact us, request information, inquire about speaking or training services, or communicate with us.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and service providers that support the Site may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, and dates and times of visits. This information may be collected through cookies, pixels, logs, and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from vendors that host or support the Site, facilitate downloads, provide analytics, display videos, manage audience feedback, or connect the Site to social-media services.

2  How We Use Information

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate about speaking, training, consulting, and related services.

  • Provide requested resources and operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.

  • Understand Site usage and evaluate the effectiveness of content and outreach.

  • Send marketing communications when permitted by law; you may unsubscribe through the instructions in an email or by contacting us.

  • Protect our rights, prevent fraud or misuse, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.

3  Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site and embedded or linked services may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics, and media delivery. For example, an embedded video provider may set or read cookies when you view or interact with a video. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect Site features.

Where applicable law requires consent for nonessential cookies, we will request that consent before using them. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to them.

4  How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to vendors and contractors that perform services for us, including website hosting, email, analytics, cloud storage, media delivery, and security. We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect rights, safety, or property; in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, sale, or reorganization; or with your direction or consent.

The Site may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including YouTube, Google Drive, Talkadot, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms. Those parties control their own privacy practices, and their policies apply when you interact with their services.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required choices.

5  Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including business, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and why it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6  Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that we maintain about you, or opt out of marketing communications, by emailing scott@scotttillema.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

7  Children

The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8  Visitors Outside the United States

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your country. Where required, we will use an appropriate legal basis and safeguards for processing and transfers.

9  Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
